Installation Specialist

Responsibilities: 

Road Ready is seeking a skilled installer to join our team. As an Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telematics devices within customer trailers and vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role offers a unique mix of hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and strategic project management, perfect for those passionate about technology’s role in operational improvement. 

  • Installation and Support: Independently or in collaboration with third-party installers, perform installations of Road Ready’s product suite, comprising gateways, AI cameras, and accessories, across various vehicles and assets. 
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct on-site customer training, support trials/pilots, and serve as the Lead onsite presence for strategic customer deployments. 
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement: Oversee strategic installation projects, perform on-site quality checks of third-party installers, and audit documentation to ensure adherence to best practices. 
  • Innovation and Feedback: Collaborate closely with the Road Ready Engineering team, leveraging field experiences to inform product enhancements and innovations. 
  • Guidance and Documentation: Create custom installation guides for specialty configurations or unique customer requests, enhancing the installation process and customer satisfaction. 
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide remote assistance to third-party installers with installation questions or issues. 
  • Escalation Handling: Manage the review and resolution of escalated technical issues, ensuring a positive outcome for all stakeholders.

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education Requirement(s): 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

Experience Requirement(s): 

  • Extensive experience in technical equipment installation, service, and repair, particularly in automotive or related industries. 
  • Common knowledge of 12 VDC wiring, cellular network operations, GPS, and telematics. 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in installing IoT devices and aftermarket electronics at scale, preferably in automotive or related industries. 
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to independently manage complex installations and troubleshoot diverse equipment. 
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively training customers and collaborating with internal teams. 

Travel Requirements: 

  • The person in this role will be required to travel 50-75% of the time annually. 

Additional Information: 

  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces

Order Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Management: Add new customers and maintain current customers bill to and ship to information in the ERP system.  
  • Order Verification: Verify the accuracy of order information, and update based on new inventory and shipping information.  
  • Order Processing: Process orders through email, EDI, Demand Scheduling, web, fax, and phone. Handle any rejections by contacting the customer directly and then processing through JDE. Manage customer portals to obtain PO’s, RMA information, order changes, debits, etc. 
  • Return Management: Oversee Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process (input, tracking, transfers, and follow-up with customers).  
  • SIM Management: Assist in SIM management (set-up, on-going maintenance, and cancelations)  
  • Customer Interactions: Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, or other communication to provide non-technical problem resolution. 
  • Team Collaboration: Provides updates to other internal teams on customer needs and factors that contribute to customer satisfaction. 
  • Order Management: Manage order board and work with the Road Ready production planning team to drive timely delivery of products to customer. 
  • Reporting: Help generate reporting for specific business requests.

  • Other duties as assigned.  

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 2 yr degree, relevant college courses or equivalent previous work experience (operations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer support, etc.) 

Experience Requirements:

  • 0-2 years’ experience
  • Candidates must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with many business systems solutions for order modifications and handling fulfillments transactions between applications.
