Sr. Global IT Manager 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This position will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing technical resources on our AS400/RPG and EDI teams, including management of external vendors handling our AS400 based BOSS warehouse management system.   

The Senior Global IT Manager will also serve as a 1st level manager in our Center of Excellence for IT Management and ERP support, providing fractional IT management and oversight to a couple of our smaller subsidiaries.  The role will also involve assisting with corporate IT project management initiatives.  This position requires a strong combination of technical expertise, hands-on leadership skills and the ability to lead and mentor staff while getting great results.  

Essential responsibilities include: 

Truck-Lite IT Management 

  • Provide hands-on management and support to AS400, RPG and EDI development teams. 
  • Provide management and oversight to external support vendors that handle critical systems such as Boss WMS system, EDI services or AS400 operations. 
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous learning and professional growth. 
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding project teams through successful implementations and integrations. 
  • Demonstrate a profound understanding of Transportation, Manufacturing or Automotive Industry combined with a deep understanding of ERP, WMS and MES and other systems as. 

Center of Excellence for IT Management and ERP Support

  • Provide fractional IT management and oversight to subsidiaries, including Truck-Lite, RIGID/Truck-Lite Mexico, Truck-Lite Europe (Infor LN), and potentially others. 
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and stakeholders to capture and understand requirements, ensuring alignment with technology solutions. 
  • Maintain transparent communication, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and milestones. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in IT governance, security, and risk management. 

Project Management: 

  • Lead end-to-end project management for ERP initiatives, aligning projects with business objectives and organizational strategy. 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, ensuring successful delivery within established timelines and budgets. 
  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and a culture of excellence. 

Quality Assurance: 

  • Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to uphold the reliability and performance of implemented ERP systems. 
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization within existing systems. 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. 
  • Master’s Degree preferred 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S): 

  • Proven experience (10 years) in project management, specifically in ERP implementations. 
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP Systems, WMS, Manufacturing and Supply Chain systems.  JD Edwards preferred. 
  • Excellent communication, Strong leadership, team management and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail. 
  • Excellent knowledge of project management tools and software. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
