Financial Analyst
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing analytical support for a global purchasing project and other data initiatives and financial analysis across the organization.
- Project Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Tracking and validating realized cost savings
- Data analysis to support regular program reviews
- Review and reconciliation of general ledger data
- Support post program data management
- Other core responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular financial reviews
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with budgets and forecasts
- Increasing productivity by developing automated reporting tools
- Working with various ERP software systems, consolidation, data mining and reporting tools
- Supports consolidation of monthly financials
- Supports administration of Financial systems
- Supports ad-hoc reporting assignments as directed
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S):
- BS/BA Degree in Finance/Accounting, or related field required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
- 2 to 4 years of relevant Finance/Audit or Public Accounting Experience preferred
- Knowledge of ERP business management software packages (i.e. JD Edwards)
- Knowledge of consolidation tools (i.e. Oracle EPM Cloud, Hyperion FM), SmartView, Power BI and advanced Excel skills including modeling
- Experience assisting with annual budget and rolling forecasts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and present metrics effectively to support strategic recommendations
